Yeah so the bonus hit my account. Its weird making good money. I don't know what to do. I was raised as a pretty frugal teenager, not because we didn't have money just because we never felt a need to purchase in excess.
I planned 3 major purchases:
1. New snowboard equipment: Never Summer SL w/ Black Flow Bindings
2. Baller Suit: I'm sick of going to interviews and events in a Men's Warehouse suit...Its not a bad suit i just think I can do slightly better
3. Trip to the Bahamas - I'm thinking Paradise Island or something of the sort. I just want to sit on a beach and party a bit
Running has been going well. I'm up to about 4.5 mile runs during the week. I have been slacking on the long ones though. I need to pick it up this weekend. 10 miles no quitting in between. 26.2 is going to be tough I know it, but I can do it. As long my muscles hold up I'll be fine =)
Adam found this awesome new emo band called Ever We Fall. They're pretty sweet. I was itchin for some fresh tunes too. Tomorrow I might go to a Flamenco Dance at this place called Ena(the spanish letter) or Ultimate. I'd like to go to Ultimate its just that I can't get out of work early enough to make it worth while.
Harry Potter is coming out this weekend. Sweetness. POTTER!

Pretentious Fuck.
At least that's what vagadonded called me on Party Poker. Maybe I am a pretentious fuck. In retrospect he was completely right. I was talking on AIM and saw that he said, "Another Lucky River". My immediate reaction was wtf are you talking about. Most people are completely retarded on PP and don't know what they're talking about. Sometimes it just gets to me.
So I retorted, "Are you freaking retarded? I hit the straight on 4th street Jerkface." He said ,"So did I, the higher one jackass. " Then he called me a "pretensious fuck" I said he spelled pretentious wrong. And he went postal.
I was wrong I know. But I think I just like being a jackass sometimes. Since like 4th grade people have said to me. Deva, one day you're going to get your ass kicked because you shoot your mouth off too easily. It hasn't happened...yet
I've always been slightly(I know some of you are rolling your eyes--but this is my blog) arrogant. However I am down to earth. I just get really irritated by stupid people.
Anyhew...if I ever start a band I'm definitely going to name it either "NGFL - Nice Guys Finish Last" or "The big douche". Because Douche is such a great word. Its so much fun to say. This brilliant British director at work uses it constantly and I smile every time I hear him.
"Don't be a douche Donuts go work on your spreadsheets"
"If he isn't a giant sack of douche I don't know who is"
"I can't believe its douching again, we just can't get good weather these days"
Ok I better go get some douche otherwise I'm going to really be douching all day tomorrow.

Ok so Thursday night ended up being really really fun. I guess I was just in a funk that needed to be snapped. I got out of work at like 6:30ish and headed over to Nolans to pick up my cleats that I left in Brooklyn on Sunday. I then headed over to Neels where he played Air Guitar and started getting pumped.
Then at about 9:45 we head over to Sushi Samba. All the guys from the group were there as well as Amy and Betina who were really fun. We had a massive meal with a lot of drinks...I think the bill came to $2200 which was pretty beastly but the bsds (big swingers) paid for it.
After dinner(about 1pm) everyone went to Marquee. However not everyone was able to get into the club. So a bunch of us decided to leave and head over to Pink Elephant. It was amazing as usual(one of the reasons its my fav club in the city see list below)
I like Pink Elephant because
1. It is not as hyped as Marquee or Bungalow 8 - for this reason it is easier to get in, the doormen aren't complete assholes, and you dont have to drop 2 sticks on alcohol.
2. The music is amazing - I love house music, not that pop top 40 stuff like good ole Latin Euro Techno House music. I don't mind hip hop but I definitely prefer house. I've talked to so many people who are like but you can't dance to it. I'm like psha of course you can its a fast beat but you gotta just keep up.
3. The girls and people are just more fun. Its not about image its about having a good time.
Sorry for that rant. Anyway Jonathan ended up getting a table. Fer left Marquee shortly after and met us at PE. We rocked out for a good two hours. It was awesome there were these dudes playing some bongo drums, the ones that strap on around your necks, and they came over to our area and get let me and Amy have a go. I danced with this blond girl who Fer and Jonathan thought was fairly cool but I gave a look at Amy and she gave me a thumbs down. I was like dammit hehe. It was fun though. At about 4 I ended up leaving. I bargained a $20 cab ride home which was totally solid. In the end it was a pretty sweet night. The next morning and day for that matter was pretty awful =)

Seluraved.com went down a month ago.. I probably should have just kept it up even though I stopped posting to it after a few weeks. It held great memories of senior year. Its so weird reading old posts especially ones that at the time talk about the future. My last post on the site was talking about how we were going to play Risk during senior week. It actually never happened, we ended up just going out to some bars and chatting it up till 5am. Man good times good times.
Blogging is a great way to break up the daily trudge that is working life. I don't think a morning has gone by where I haven't thought to myself, "How am I going to make this day different?" Usually nothing much happens. I think I said it best in a AIM conversation with Adam
Xiajain: i never want my life to be replicated by a while loop
I do have to say though I never thought a trading floor would be monotonous but it really is. Same analysis done to different companies same stories blah blah blah.
Tomorrow we're having a 'huge night' or so my co-workers say which usually entails leaving work at 7 having some drinks at Dos Caminos. Going to a restaurant like Sushi Samba for dinner and then going to a club like Cain. Which should be really fun. However, I'm somehow quite apathetic. Maybe I'm just sick of the New York scene.
Allen is moving into Hoboken on July 1st so that will be pretty sweet. Amanda is going to room with him. We've been remarkably civil after we broke up 3 months ago. Its like Jerry and Elaine from Seinfeld hehe. Ok I'm off to run. That post really sucked I know. I'm just a bit bummed cause I stupidly didn't buy tickets online for the Get Up Kids concert when I had a shot. Dammit!
